學院課程​

香港長笛藝術學院根據英國皇家音樂考試局制定出一套全面和有系統的長笛課程。課程包括個別教授及小組教授、樂理、視唱及鋼琴伴奏班與及幼童長笛興趣班 (適合4-6)。本院由畢業於音樂學院學仕或以上學歷及具豐富教學經驗的導師教授,配合完善的教學制度(如定期學生評估、學生音樂會和參與國際知名長笛家之大師班)和舒適的上課環境,令學員可以在享受學習的過程中提升學習的效果。

長笛合奏團​

Tutti Flutti 長笛合奏團 (TFFE)  Tutti Flutti 長笛室樂團 (TFFCO) 由院長胡永彥先生擔任音樂總監及指揮,已成為本地最活躍之音樂團體之一。多年來不斷嘗試新的曲目並與不同演奏家合作,創新求變。樂團成立至今,多次獲邀遠赴海外各地包括法國、澳洲、英國和台灣作交流演出和參加長笛比賽,並在澳洲長笛藝術節比賽中奪得第二名的殊榮。樂團更與多位國際著名長笛家同台演出,包括彼得盧卡斯格拉夫(Peter-Lukas Graf) 保羅艾文戴維斯(Paul Edmund-Davies) 、占士高威 (James Galway) 及文生盧卡 ( Vincent Lucas) 等,大獲好評。

Teacher’s Bio​

Mr. Matthew Wu

Apart from being one of the most active flutists in Hong Kong, Matthew Wu possesses multiple roles as a flutist and as an avid flute music educator.

Having studied under Leng Jian Hua at Guangzhou Xinghai Conservatory of Music in his early years. He was then awarded a full scholarship to further his study at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) where he studied with Margaret Crawford.  As early as his studies, Wu had already been invited to perform with renowned orchestras on tours in Europe by the Asian Youth Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta. In the meantime, Wu had been appointed the position of conducting HKAPA’s elementary level Music Studies. Upon graduating with flying colours from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Wu was again awarded the Rachel Percival Scholarship to further his study with Paul Edmund-Davies, Edward Beckett and Phillipa Davies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where he completed his postgraduate diploma and a Licentiate in flute performance.

Returning from his overseas studies, Wu took up teaching at the HKAPA, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Education. Wu has continuously incorporated with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Wind Philharmonic and the Hong Kong Chamber Orchestra as a soloist. In 2011, Wu was also invited by the RTHK Radio 4 as a soloist at their music event “Christmas Concert in the Park – Mozart Bonbons!”

Breaking territorial limitations, Wu has been invited to perform internationally. In 2002 Wu was invited to perform at the Rome Music Festival as the principal flautist of ‘The Rome Festival Orchestra’; He was also invited to perform at ‘The Taiwan International Flute Festival’ and ‘The Flute Festival in China for Two Shores and Four Places’. Wu was invited by the Macau Cultural Council as the adjudicator for the Youth Music Competition.

He is currently the Principal Flautist of the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong and Instructor of the Hong Kong Institute of Education where he was awarded the “Honorary Artist in Residence” in 2013. In 2009, Wu released his first flute CD album『Music in Air』which received great acclaim.

Through his years of dedicated pursuance of excellence, he has fostered the standard of flute music to one of international level. In 2004, Wu founded the Hong Kong Flute Association and the Hong Kong Flute Academy, and is currently the conductor and music director of Tutti Flutti Flute Chamber Orchestra. During the last decade, Tutti Flutti Flute Chamber Orchestra has been invited to perform with world class artists such as the Swiss legendary Peter-Lukas Graf, Paul Edmund-Davis, James Galway and Vincent Lucas, to name a few.

In 2014, through the organizing of the event “Hong Kong Flute and Arts Festival”, Wu has brought together the melodious musical exchange between the flute world in Hong Kong and that internationally.
